Hi, I’m Nitleen Kaur, the founder of Mind Us Counselling and Wellbeing Solutions.
Mind Us was created with the vision of building a compassionate and accessible space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. I believe emotional wellbeing deserves care, understanding, and meaningful human connection.
My passion for mental health has been shaped through both academic training and hands-on experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds. I completed my Master’s degree in Melbourne, Australia from Monash University, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours).
I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across different settings, and have collectively completed over 1000+ client support hours. In Melbourne, I worked closely with schools, supporting students, parents, and school staff in navigating emotional, social, behavioural, and academic challenges. I also provided Telehealth counselling support and worked within Disability Support Services, gaining experience supporting individuals with varied needs, life experiences, and backgrounds.
My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative, and client-centred. I follow an eclectic approach, integrating techniques from different therapeutic modalities to adapt sessions according to each individual’s unique experiences, needs, and goals. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and challenges at their own pace.
Through Mind Us, my vision is to foster emotional wellbeing through genuine connection, compassionate support, and safe spaces for reflection, healing, and growth.
Mind Us offers one-to-one counselling sessions that provide a safe, confidential, and non judgmental space for individuals to discuss their thoughts, emotions, and personal challenges.
Mind Us also offers small group counselling. These sessions provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can share experiences, learn from one another, and feel less alone in their challenges.

As a former international student myself, I understand that studying abroad can be both exciting and deeply challenging. Adjusting to a new culture, managing academic pressure, navigating loneliness, and being away from familiar support systems can take a toll on your mental health.
At Mind Us, I offer affordable counselling and therapy specifically for international students — creating a space where you can feel understood, without having to explain everything from scratch.
